I work closely with a client to understand your goals and what you want to accomplish with your web site. My approach involves 5 basic steps: Get to Know You, Create a Plan, Design, Build, and Test.

Depending on the size of your site, this process can take anywhere from several days to several months for large sites or migrations. Starting with Joomla! makes it much easier to get a full-featured site up and running quickly.

Get to Know You

This first step to building (or rebuilding) your web site is that we get to know each other. This is really the most important step. I take the time to learn about you, your organization or company, your target audience, your goals for the project, how your web presence fits into your overall marketing and communications plan and budget, and how thewebdoodler.com can best serve you. You get to learn what I can offer to help you meet your goals. This is usually done informally over the phone, through email messages and sometimes in person.

Create a Plan

Once we come to an agreement on the scope and time-frame of the project, I create a plan to make your project happen. I have experience building websites to fit almost any budget.

Design

This part of the project includes creating the template with your logo, color scheme and other graphics that you provide. I'll create a site plan with a menu structure to make your site easy and intuitive to navigate.

Build

Now it's time to put your site together, adding extensions and components needed and customizing to exactly fit your needs. Your finished site will be XHTML and CSS compliant and created with search engine friendliness in mind.

Test

Nobody is perfect, which is why I test every site I build for browser compatibility, and overall usability. Once we are all satisfied that the site is ready, we go live!
